Cutting Mat
It looks like I have to replace my cutting mat with a new one again.
The mat on the left is one year old and it’s pretty worn out already…
The mat I use is Self-healing/Reversible Cutting mat, size A3 (45*30 cm). It’s a thick (3mm) cutting mat, solid green on one side and with 1 cm grid pattern on the other (both sides can be used). The mat is “self-healing” which basically means that it won’t shred to pieces when you cut on it. All first cuts will not leave marks on the surface but with time you’ll see them anyway.
What I like the most about this mat is that it has non-slip surface which is great for both – cutting and folding paper on it!

Personally, I don’t think there is a big difference in quality between different brands producing this sort of mats. As long as you are happy with its size, color and grid pattern, it doesn’t really matter who the manufacturer is. And keep in mind that “self-healing” mats do have a working life and eventually you will have to replace yours with a new one.
